Our Story

The Ministry of Foreign affairs ask my grandfather to find a land to acquire for a summer site construction while he was working abroad as a Diplomat.

My grandfather and grandmother, who traveled all over the world and lived in many different countries for business purposes, accept this task with pleasure. Tarakçı family travels the entire coastal towns from Istanbul to Kaş, one by one for months. While they were about to return from Marmaris, they catch a fisherman's eye and he offers to take them to a very beautiful place.

My grandfather and grandmother, who came to Turunç cove by boat, fall in love with it at first sight and decide to move here. One reason they love it so much is that it resembles the natural beauty of my grandfather's hometown, Çamlı Hemşin...

Diplomat Hotel, has become a brand in the past 31 years under the management of my parents, Nedim and Güzin Tarakçı. Now it's time for them to pass the flag onto the next generation.
